Kagio town in Kirinyaga County is in hock after a 38-year-old woman fatally stabbed her boyfriend five times.

The woman who works as a bartender in the trading center turned herself in to police on Monday following the incident, according to Moses Koskei, the sub-county police commander for Kirinyaga West.

“She stabbed his boyfriend five times; two times in his left thigh, two times in his right thigh and the fifth time she stabbed him in his private parts,” Koskei said.

According to Koskei, the man bled to death, and authorities are looking into the circumstances surrounding the woman’s killing of her partner.

“The two have rented the house along Baricho Road in this trading centre and we are told both hail from the Gichugu constituency,” Koskei said.

The police chief stated that the murderous knife has not yet been found.

“We are expecting the suspect who is being held at Kagio police station to tell us where she hid the weapon which we will use as an exhibit,” Koskei said.

The mortuary at Kerugoya Referral Hospital received the body.
