Congolese striker Felician Okanda has confirmed that he has already parted ways with FKF Premier league side Nzoia Sugar FC.According to reports given by the Nzoia Sugar Football club during his exit, its that the speedy winger is on his ways heading to the neighbors Kakamega Homeboyz FC.
At First the millers were reluctant to let the player go but an executive meeting was conducted between both sides and came up to a possible solution. The Congo-born play maker has already joined the Homeboyz Den and even scored a goal during the friendly match against Luanda Villa over the weekend.
“We officially released him to join Homeboyz after he made it clear that he wanted out. As a club we do not insist on keeping players who aren’t settled or have it clear that they no longer want to be part of the project. The club’s executive committee met and we arrived at decision to let him continue with his football career at Kakamega Homeboyz,” said the club’s chairman Evans Kadenge.
Apart from Okanda, other player who have exited the Salim Babu coaches side is defender Salim Hamisi Odeka. On the other hand the millers also acquired the efforts of the winger James Kibande who made a comeback after a few months with Kenya Police FC.
“We haven’t signed his replacement because we have enough depth and cover in the team and other than Okanda and Salim we didn’t lose any other player. This will also be an opportunity for other players who haven’t been playing much to step up and claim a place in the team,” added Kadenge.
