Ugandan President son Muhoozi thirst for power

Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the son of Uganda’s president, has stated that he is tired of waiting to become president of the East African republic.

Muhoozi stated on Wednesday that he will make a decision on the matter soon.

He noted that the Prime Ministers of the United Kingdom and Finland are 42 and 37 years old, respectively, whereas he is nearly 50 and still waiting to become head of state.

“The Prime Minister of the UK is 42 years old, and the Prime Minister of Finland is 37 years. Some of us are hitting 50 years old. We are tired of waiting forever. We will take a stand!” Muhoozi tweeted.

Muhoozi, a Ugandan general, sparked outrage last October when he declared himself the country’s next President-designate.

He expressed certainty that the opposition, led by musician-turned-politician Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine, would never lead the country after his father’s retirement.

“To the Ugandan opposition, after my father, I will defeat you badly in any election. Ugandans love me more than they’ll ever love you,

“He stated.

Uganda will hold elections to choose a new president in 2026.

Museveni has ruled Uganda since assuming power in 1978.
